Andor (S02) : Episodes 10-12
SPOILER thoughts on episodes 10 to 12 of Andor Season 02
I just wrapped up the final arc of Andor Season 2 and oh man, they left me with this bittersweet mix of awe and sadness. Well, now here are my thoughts on each episodes (Spoilers!)
This arc takes place in BBY 1 (One year before Battle of Yavin)
Make It Stop
Episode 10 was a particularly heavy one because we finally lost Luthen Rael. Learning more about his past, seeing the scars and sacrifices he carried, really made his loss hit hard. Luthen wasn’t just a leader; he was someone who embodied the moral complexity and gritty reality of rebellion. And Kleya stepping up afterward, wow, she really showed she's no one's sidekick. She's fierce, determined, and ready to carry on his legacy. Dedra finally got what she was after since the beginning but that backfired very badly for her.
Who Else Knows?
Then Episode 11 ramps up the tension and urgency. Cassian, along with K-2SO and Melshi, gets tangled in a mission that feels like a classic espionage thriller, with super high stakes. There's some great action here but also deep emotional beats. Kleya’s desperate efforts to secure the Death Star plans highlighted just how many quiet heroes there are in the fight against the Empire.
Jedha, Kyber, Erso
Finally, Episode 12 wraps everything up beautifully. It’s like watching the pieces click perfectly into place as Cassian finally embraces his role fully, transitioning from a cautious operative into the passionate rebel we know from Rogue One*.* His scenes with Mon Mothma and Bail Organa were incredible, full of this quiet, resolute hope that just felt right. And the surprise revelation that Bix is raising their child added this heartbreaking layer of personal stakes, reminding us exactly what's being risked every day.
Instead of ending with some grand, flashy battle, the series chooses a softer, quieter note. It truly captured what the Rebellion means: it's not just explosions and heroics but ordinary people making impossible choices.
These last few episodes didn’t just bridge the story to Rogue One*,* they enriched it. They reminded me why I fell in love with Star Wars in the first place, not just the epic battles but the humanity, the courage and the quiet, unsung sacrifices that make these stories so powerful. I'm going to miss this series but wow, what a perfect way to end it.
I think my rewatch of Rogue One will hit very hard and differently now 🥲
This show is going to turn thousands of people into Star Wars fans — myself included. After watching Andor Season 1 last year, I was completely hooked. The show was so incredible that I wasted no time diving into this beautiful franchise: re-watching the nine main movies, then exploring the spin-off films, and eventually the animated and live-action TV shows.
Thank you to Tony Gilroy, Cassian, and the entire cast for giving us this masterpiece!
