Here are our favourite movies (& TV) of the year!
It really was a great year for films in 2025. We got movies that surprised us, moved us, scared us, and in some cases completely caught us off guard. From big theatrical experiences to smaller, more intimate stories, this year genuinely had something special to offer. And with our favourite film-tracking site Letterboxd dropping their 2025 recap, it felt like the perfect time for us to share ours too; our ranked list of the films that stuck with us the most this year.

Bugonia (2025)
This one really caught us off guard. Bugonia is strange, funny, unsettling and oddly thought-provoking. It doesn’t always make things easy for the viewer, but that’s part of its charm. The screenplay and tone felt so distinct, and I loved how confident the film was in being weird without trying to explain everything.

NOTE:
We really wanted to watch Marty Supreme this year, but sadly, it’s releasing in India only in January 2026. Definitely one we’re looking forward to checking out!
📺 TV SERIES OF THE YEAR
I didn’t watch a lot of TV shows this year, so I’m not doing a ranking here. But there’s one show that stands miles above everything else I watched.
