World Book Fair 2025 in New Delhi
Visited one of the biggest book fair in Delhi and here's my experience :)
A week-long book fair was announced quite a while back, from 1st to 9th Feb 2025; so this time around, I planned to check it out! Although I’ve visited a few book fairs in other cities, I never got the chance to attend one in Delhi.
I reached the fair by around 3 PM (on Saturday - 1st Feb), expecting a rush but apparently it wasn’t as crowded. Atleast the less chaos allowed me to explore all the halls here properly.

I started with Hall 6 first, as most local booksellers had their booths set up here. And this hall itself was huge! I did not plan to buy any books though (there are still a lot of books at home that I’m yet to read 🥲)

NGL I was excited when I saw Amar Chitra Katha/Tinkle booth! I’ve read their books while growing up and even had their monthly subscription at one point of time 😄 But now it’s been a while since I read a new book from them. (Their books are basically comics based on Indian history & mythologies).

After roaming around Hall 6, we moved towards the main area of the fair. The other halls were lined up together; from Hall 2 - 5 along with some food stalls outside.
A lot of authors were also present and sessions/discussions were happening too.

Starting from Hall 5, the other halls focused on International & Regional publications. Really appreciated the showcases of country-wise booths present there, which definitely attracted a lot of folks. Now as I went into the main sections, including where there were small stages set up for authors’ sessions and all, it started to feel crowded (Penguin Random House booth was chaotic!)

Yes, I did have the urge to buy some books but I knew that I wouldn’t be able to read a lot coz I already have a huge backlog 😭
The whole Book Fair was set up wonderfully but overall, I had an okay-ish experience. Maybe due to the fact that I didn’t plan to get anything and came here just for a visit.
This year we also created a Book Club on Fable App and started sharing book reviews too! This actually helped me get back to reading regularly which I missed frankly.
Nice article,
Which of the stall had the manga?
